Skydaddy are a fresh, energetic and highly experienced trio of rockers from the Northern Rivers of NSW. With the crisp vocals and guitar of ex-Fossil Rocker Tony Fallon at the helm and the stomping rhythm section of Joel South (Push) on drums and exciting newcomer Michael Curtis on bass and vocals, these experienced professional musos will have any crowd up and on their feet. The essence of Skydaddy is tight commercial pub rock covers from the 60s to the present; the type of music that people like at the local pub and club venues. Skydaddy also understand that flexibility is important and will tailor their songlist to match the venue. Skydaddy will also expose audiences to popular songs that they know but may not have heard other cover bands play, as well as keeping up with the good rock that’s coming out at the moment. Professionalism is at the core of Skydaddy, but surrounding this ethic is having fun and a good time, which translates into the audience enjoying themselves and getting up on their feet. Tell us a little bit about yourself: From the ripe old age of 3yrs old, he knew that music was going to be his life. With a set of headphones on listen to the Bee Gees back in 1980 he started to dance around the house, than as he grew music became more and more a part of his life. With music already being in the family with his Uncle being a member of the 1970’s Australian Band ‘Hush’, it was going to be hard to get him away from Music. Even in high school his teachers tried to push him in other directions as they thought music was not for him, but DJ Mixman stood still and to this day his teachers have been amazed with what Mixman has achieved. In 1995 DJ Mixman was born and has played some of the best clubs around Australia. What’s your most embarrassing moment: I'm sure I’ve had a few, can’t remember what they were. I was probably tooooo Intoxicated at the time. LOL What’s your most memorable moment: Drinking with Benji & Joel Madden and the other band members of Good Charlotte on their first Australian tour in 2001. Hates: People coming up to me and saying “play this song cause everyone wants to hear it” my reply is “So you went around and polled every single person here tonight, and as a result of that poll, everyone wants to hear this song” Their Reply “ummm ummm ummm yeah” Who inspires you as a DJ: DJ Bonebreaker (Brooklyn Bounce), Nick Skitz, John Digweed, Fatboy Slim, plus many more.
