Shores Restaurant

Shores menu takes full advantage of Yamba’s seaside location with local seafood, fresh off the boats daily, featured strongly on the menu.

Also on the menu is a mouth watering Wagyu Rump and everyone is raving about the Greek Lamb which is slow cooked lamb shoulder with rosemary, garlic & lemon on char grilled Mediterranean vegetables, feta, olives, kipfler potatoes & Tzatziki. But that’s not all, there’s plenty more to satisfy the most fussiest foodie and you’d be mad not to save some room for the delicious house made desserts which feature favourites such as Sticky Date Pudding and French & Vanilla Crème Brulee.

All of this would not be possible unless you have a first class chef. Heading up the kitchen is Shores new international Head Chef, Rupert Stevens. Rupert trained in the UK, specialising in French Cuisine. Since then he has worked solidly throughout Europe, South East Asia and even the United States. In Australia he’s worked at the renowned Byron Breach cafe and he did amazing things at the Eltham Hotel. Rupert’s passion for excellence has seen the Yamba Shores Tavern build a kitchen around him so Shores could operate as a completely separate entity with its own designated area within the all new kitchen.

Since opening the doors in December the new Tavern has received glowing accolades from patrons and industry experts. The Tavern was featured last month in the Australian Hotels Association NSW “Hotel News” magazine and last Saturday night the venue took out the Master Builders Association 2011 Excellence in Commercial Building Northern Region Project Awards winning Best Commercial Project.

The addition of Shores Restaurant will no doubt see that acclaim continue and we suspect we’ll be hearing a lot more about this new restaurant and it’s amazing food.
